Abstract:
This paper provides a detailed introduction to wireless sensor networks and further explores the LEACH algorithm, a hierarchical routing protocol in the network layer of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). After summarising the results of previous improvements and further synthesising and enhancing them, this paper proposes an improved LEACH algorithm for the distribution of nodes in WSNs through algorithm improvements and several controlled trials. By adding the immediate state of energy to the parameters of the algorithm, the algorithm is studied, explored, and modified several times to obtain a distribution algorithm that can extend the lifetime of WSNs. In addition, the improved algorithm is simulated and experimented with several times to find the optimal packet size during transmission. Finally, through simulation and emulation experiments, we obtained a new node hierarchy algorithm for WSNs that outperforms the traditional one in terms of survival time and node efficiency, and effectively improves the overall amount of data transmission.
