Abstract:
Overhead transmission lines, an important carrier of power transmission, are the national power infrastructure. Whether the route selection design is scientific and reasonable directly affects the safety and reliability of power supply and economic rationality. The application of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to the survey and design of transmission lines can improve the traditional survey and design methods, which is conducive to the information management of power grid enterprises and the construction of digital power grid. This paper takes 500KV transmission lines as an example to illustrate the application of GIS technology in the selection of line surveys and design routes. Through the establishment of a transmission line information platform, the paper carries the transmission line planning, route selection and pole tower position pre-arranged. The optimization of electric power line route and tower position can shorten the survey and design period of the project, reduce the project investment, and have huge social and economic benefits.
