Abstract:
The prevention and governance of online rumors has always been the core problem that the government needs to solve urgently. This paper introduces the two-person zero-sum Stackelberg game into the study of rumor management, in which the governor generally educates the public to improve the public's ability to identify rumors when daily or unexpected events occur, and the rumor-monger makes his own decision after observing the actions of the governor. Finally, an analysis of the game process leads to the conclusion that evenly educating the public on ideological education over a certain period of time by the governance party is the optimal strategy to avoid the creation and spread of rumors.
