Abstract:
The implementation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) intrapulse convolution modulation has the problem of a large amount of calculation and poor real-time performance. This paper proposes a fast realization method of SAR intrapulse convolution modulation based on a Field-Programmable Gate array (FPGA) to solve the above problems. Firstly, the time-domain template completes the Fast Fourier transform (FFT) offline and sends it to the FPGA for storage. After that, the multi-channel interpolation calculation is performed on the radar pulse signal online through the FPGA. Replacing time-domain convolution with a time-frequency product can improve real-time performance and reduce resource occupancy. Simulation and field experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the scheme. The practical simulation test result is compared with multiple groups of implementations, which proves that this implementation has a more incredible implementation speed than the Personal Computer (PC)and Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
