Abstract:
This paper presents a framework to tackle power distribution problems in cycling time trial using power curve and simulated annealing algorithm. Based on the standardization of the power curve according to the energy distribution, our framework builds a kinematics model and uses the violence search method to get the approximate optimal solution of each track. Using a proposed perturbation method, we optimize the power distribution using simulated annealing algorithm. We apply our framework to real competitions and conduct a sensitivity analysis, which includes individual characteristics of competitors, wind conditions and personal estimation error. By extending our framework to the team time trial, we analyse its extensibility and the ability to provide people with information about heuristic strategies.
