To explore how medical we media carried out risk communication on social platforms such as Weibo at the early stage of the outbreak of COVID-19, and what the relevant public mood was, and finally put forward more effective risk communication strategies. This paper takes the content and public comments of three general doctors of Wuhan Union Medical College Hospital published on Weibo in the early stage of COVID-19 as the research object, and analyzes its content combined with the risk perception model. The study found that in the early stage of the epidemic, the proportion of key variables of risk perception in medical we media is not enough, and the framework and timeliness of information release need to be improved.
