Abstract:
Recent years, with the rapid development of energy storage system (ESS) in power distribution system, power converter system (PCS) has been built to achieve the scalability and system requirements. In this paper, both two level converter and neutral point clamped (NPC) three level converter solutions for 200kW PCS are analyzed. And the characteristics of four different Infineon modules are compared in PCS application. Combining experimental results and PLECS simulation, selec-tion of power module for different application demands are concluded.
