Abstract:
This paper explores the use of AI-generated videos into educational content creation about quantum communication networks. The work focuses on three key dimensions: engagement, technological innovation, and economic efficiency. The analysis has tried to estimate the impact of new advanced AI video generation platforms in scientific education, dissemination, and training. A mixed-method investigation combined a literature review, a month-long Instagram-based experiment, and a cost analysis. Findings reveal that AI-generated educational videos achieve comparable learning outcomes to humanled content. Although the literature has claimed AI-generated content consistently underperform in emotional engagement and viewer retention, tools like Google’s Veo3 could significantly enhance production quality, enabling realistic audiovisual content generation that could replace human-based one. Economically speaking, the material analysed shows that AI systems can significantly reduce video production costs by up to 80% and accelerate workflows. However, Veo3 was only officially released in Europe in July 2025 and is currently only available to users with a ProUltra subscription. This has limited opportunities to experiment with the platform and reduced the amount of data available, making it more difficult to fully understand the impact that the new generation of AI-generated content may have.
