Abstract:
This article presents the development of a novel voltage control system for EV fast charging stations uitilizing a Dual Active Bridge CLLC resonant topology. The proposed control method provides a safe, simple, and cost-effective solution for regulating output voltage during the precharge and discharge phases of the charging hose, as required by the Combined Charging System (CCS). Additionally, it enables isolation testing in accordance with both CCS and CHAdeMO protocols while adhering to the stringent low-output capacitance constraints imposed by these standards, ensuring compliance with the IEC 61851-23 standard in EV fast charging applications.
