Abstract:
To balance the instantaneous power difference of pulse load power supply, an active capacitor converter (ACC) is employed to compensate for the pulse currents. This paper proposes a method for designing ACC under low pulse repetition frequency (<10Hz) conditions, including optimizing topology, parameter design, and operation mode design. The feasibility of the design scheme is validated through experi-ments. The ACC can compensate for a maximum power of 15kW with a duration of 20ms, absorb a maximum regenerative energy of 7.5kW with a duration of 30ms, and operate with a cycle of 500ms, corresponding to a pulse repetition frequency of 2Hz.
