Abstract:
In recent years, the demand for high switching devices has increased significantly. Consequently, the passive component industry is now required to lower the parasitics in their products. Expecially when it comes to inductance inside passive components, this becomes challenging. While developing lowinductance devices is one aspect, testing and verifying presents another challenge. This work addresses commonly used measurement techniques and their challenges. During this it has been found that cable placement and connections play important roles. As a result a custom PCB is discussed as a solution in this work. Lowering the parasitic interference notably for higher measurement frequencies.
