Abstract:
Nanocrystalline alloys with high saturation polarization have excellent soft magnetic properties, but they are difficult to produce in a cost-effective way because they tend to grain growth. To enable the industrial use of the Nanomet alloy, heat treatment as industry-related process was investigated. The heat treatment in a preheated muffle furnace led to the best soft magnetic properties but is a batch process. The parameters were, therefore, transferred to a lamp furnace that could be operated continuously.
