Abstract:
This work proposes a signal conditioning circuit for measuring the output current of high-frequency series resonant inverters. The circuit captures both the peak value and the sign of high-frequency alternating current and adapts it for the input requirements of the converter control system of a wing-integrated ice protection system based on induction heating for aircrafts. With this circuit, a cost effective solution is enabled, avoiding expensive and high performance control platforms or complex oversampling techniques. To this end, the most relevant design criteria for the development of the circuit are described. Based on these, a stand-alone prototype has been developed in order to prove the performance of the circuit in different conditions.
