Abstract:
This paper presents a high-frequency step-up DC-DC converter for photovoltaic applications, incorporating mutual inductance, where one of the coils is integrated into the printed circuit board. The seriesparallel compensation circuit is used as the topology for the DC-DC converter. Guidelines for selecting passive components are discussed. The paper also analyzes conditions for achieving soft switching in relation to the voltage gain and primary current phase shift curves. A simplified 450 W demonstrator with a switching frequency of approximately 1 MHz was designed and presented to validate the feasibility of the proposed approach. Additionally, the paper includes experimental results, along with thermal management and efficiency studies.
