Versatile Test DC Microgrid for Lighting with Standard Components

Abstract:
A DC microgrid for developing and testing lighting equipment, which uses existing components and standards from electrotechnical installations and lighting is presented. This test setup can be used to supply lighting equipment according to several recommended DC Grid conventions, and enables to verify these conditions against DC requirements of existing and upcoming standards. An actual microgrid installation can select the best suitable configuration from the options of the test installation, and use the same components and standards for its operation.
