Abstract:
This paper compares inverter efficiency by calculating total power losses using a 100V TOLL MOSFET from ROHM and competitors. In the first part of the paper, we have evaluated the switching losses of the MOSFET from ROHM using the DPT (Double Pulse Test) using both hardware and LTspice. In the second part of the paper, we are summarizing the results from testing the MOSFET in a 3-phase inverter system alongside the circuit simulation using Simetrix. The efficiency of the system is calculated for a torque range of 1Nm to 13Nm. The results show that the ROHM MOSFET is equal or better in performance in the low to medium torque region, even with a slightly higher
