Abstract:
With photocurable resins, the fabrication of microstructures has increasingly attracted interest in both industrial and scientific fields. We introduce a new material system for digital light processing (DLP) microstructuring which is based on pre-polymers allowing the local and light-induced C,H-insertion crosslinking (CHic). Compared to conventional polymeric photo-resins, such a material system avoids the use of any low molecular weight components, rendering the fabricated microstructures biologically safe and suitable for medical applications. Using this approach, microstructures with freely definable surface features can be fabricated easily.
