Abstract:
Regular microlens arrays are well known in the beam-shaping and homogenization tasks such as fly’s eye condensers. Banning light-blocking apertures on the entrance facet assigns the pattern shape definition role to the condenser lenslets themselves and thus the need for irregular shaped lenslets in a dense-packed array. This work addresses the concept and the realization of the microlens-arrays by grayscale lithography within the scope of automotive lighting applications.
