The standard part 61869-13 is a product standard and covers additional requirements for independent merging units for AC voltage applications in the frequency range from 15 Hz to 100 Hz. Furthermore, this part covers independent merging units with standardized 1 A, 5 A, 100 V signals fed by instrument transformers. Other types of input signals are not within the scope of application. If appropriate, the functionality of independent merging units can be combined with the functionality of switching devices according to IEC 62271-3 standard or IED standards according to IEC 60255-222 standard.
