This standard applies to contamination warning assemblies, meters and monitors used for the monitoring of radioactive contamination on the surface of personnel whether they be clothed or not. The standard is applicable only to that type of equipment where the user takes no action other than to present himself and/or his hands and feet to the detectors. It is applicable to the monitoring of the whole body (including the face), hands and feet but parts of this standard may be used for equipment designed for the monitoring of radioactive contamination on the hands and/or feet only.
