This part of IEC 62933-3-1 is applicable to energy storage systems (EES systems) for grid-connected operation. This document considers the following: Required functions, test parts and methods for performance evaluation, requirements for monitoring and recording of operating parameters and exchange of system information and required control functions.
The main terms used in this document are defined in IEC 62933-1. Environmental aspects are covered in IEC TS 62933-4-1. Personnel safety aspects are covered in IEC TS 62933-5-1.
