This standard deals with the safety of electric battery chargers for household and similar use having an output at safety extra-low, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. This proposal covers several adjustments. The standard was adapted to the test for rough handling shocks (fall test).Furthermore some special conditions for battery chargers are covered like low temperatures or our outdoor use. For chargers having an output voltabe exceeding SELV several conditions wore added. Finally some notes were converted in normative text.
