This document applies to the basic safety and the essential performance characteristics for invasive blood pressure monitors and medical electrical measuring devices. The scope does not include catheter tubes, catheter needles, Luer locks, taps and tap banks. Non-invasive blood pressure monitors are also not included in this draft. It is based on the general specifications of DIN EN 60601-1 (VDE 0750-1): 2007-07. Adaptation to the 60601 series.
