This standard contains the German version of the 2nd edition of the European Standard EN 62209-1 and is identical with thr International standard IEC 62209-1. It serves the measurement of the specific Absorption Rate (SAR) related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields from wireless devices such as mobile phones in the frequency range 300 MHz to 6 GHz. It applies to the operation of the devices in close proximity to the human head. The measurements are done by exposition of a measurement phantom (body simulator) by the electromagnetic fields and determination of the SAR with the use of a probe. The description of the measurement method, specifications of this measurement phantom and specifications for the determination of the measurement uncertainty are contained in this standard.
