The object of this part of IEC 61300 ist to select flat Physical Contact (PC) optical connector plugs to be used ast he reference plug in the return loss measurement and to define an acceptance return loss value to be used in plug acceptance testing. This procedure ist used to guarantee a certain return loss value when two plugs are randomly mated together.
