This document specifies definition and requirements for the interoperability and safety of magnetic field dynamic wireless power transfer (D-WPT) for railways. This document will specify the general requirements of D-WPT which applies to the railway systems in general. The edition in the future will specify the specific requirements in the specific implementation. This document specifies the inter-operable conditions of dynamic wireless power transfer for railways. Interoperability needs to be supported when the manufacturer of primary device is different from the manufacturer of secondary device. Physical interface and efficiency requirements will be described. Also, it specifies the safety requirements of dynamic wireless power transfer for railways. Safety requirements include electrical safety and electro-magnetic safety. Electro-magnetic safety includes electro-magnetic field (EMF) safety with human bodies and electro-magnetic interference (EMI) to devices.
