Inhalt:
Because of the high difference between the platform velocities in a bistatic hybrid experiment involving a spaceborne SAR system as transmitter and an airborne system as receiver, azimuth antenna steering on both systems is necessary. To make both antenna footprints overlap for a sufficient time interval, the double sliding spotlight mode was defined: While the transmitter operates in sliding spotlight mode to slow down the azimuth velocity of the footprint center, the receiver footprint is accelerated in azimuth. This work describes the geometry and some parameter calculations for a simulation including the WGS84 ellipsoid and the earth rotation. It concludes with an analysis on the basis of simulated point targets.
