This paper discusses temporal alignment of the received data with the satellite’s orbit in opportunistic bistatic SAR systems. Different sources of phase errors are discussed. The limited impact of a misalignment is studied and an algorithm to find the Zero Doppler Time of the receiver using the phase history is proposed and evaluated.
