Specular, dihedral and trihedral reflectors are three most important contributions of high frequency scattering. The physical optics is a standard method to calculate the high frequency scattering. As the ray tracing technique and computer speed have been largely improved, it’s possible to realize the scattering calculation in personal computer. This paper implements a method to compute the high frequency scattering, the main routines are using ray-tracing to get the paths of the rays, using geometrical optics to get the reflection intensity, using physical optics to get the contributions of exit rays. The simulations of specular, dihedral and trihedral reflectors are performed to calibrate the simulator. Based on the above analysis, the small angle ISAR imaging simulation is constructed. By the multi-frequency and multi-angle RCS computations, the ISAR image is simulated. The result is compared with the real image in the validation.
