Inhalt:
Single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are molecules that possess outstanding electromechanical properties. To use these properties in macroscopic actuators many SWCNTs must be connected in series and in parallel. Theoretically, compared to a piezo actuator an elongation which is about nine times higher and comparable forces can be generated at a voltage of 0.7 V with the developed actuator concept. For the realisation of such actuators a process chain with industrial potential was designed, prototyped on the laboratory scale and tested successfully.
