Inhalt:
A microstrip antenna linear array having 5 elements, fed by Dolph-Chebyshev amplitude weights and equal phases is proposed. A suitable microstrip divider is placed below the plane of the elements and its output ports are connected by vertical wires to the microstrip elements. It is shown that in order to reduce the strong mutual coupling between the divider and the microstrip elements one needs to set the microstrip elements above the ground plane, where the divider strips are below the common ground plane. The antenna was simulated and measured, having approximate bandwidth of 18% and sidelobe level of about 17 dB. Good agreement between simulation and measurement was achieved.
