Inhalt:
In this paper previously introduced idea of so-called Integral Equation Macromodels (IEMs) is applied to problems involving scattering from inhomogeneous dielectric bodies, characterized by the rotational symmetry. The problem is formulated in terms of the volume-surface integral equation, where volume currents account for inhomogeneous parts of dielectric. Next, the volume currents are eliminated from the set, which leads to well-known domain-decomposition method (DDM), where the final equation to be solved for a given excitation mechanism, incorporates only surface currents. Then, the DDM is combined with the wideband approximation technique, namely asymptotic waveform evaluation (AWE), resulting in a scattering model valid over certain frequency interval.
