This paper presents an overview of a new version of computer code MONURBS based on method of moments (MM). The code provides low and high frequency analysis of arbitrary metallic or dielectric 3D structures and it is very useful to design antennas, to analyze antennas on board platforms, electromagnetic compatibility, periodical structures, radomes, etc. The structure under analysis is defined internally by means of Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines (NURBS) that can be generated by the most used Computer Aided Geometrical Design (CAGD) tools. The program includes a friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) where the user can visualize the geometrical model from any point of view, build geometries, set the simulation options, display the results, etc. MONURBS can works on several operating systems and platforms including highly parallelized versions for multiprocessor computers or clusters. Also, the implementation of the optimizer allows robust and efficient electromagnetic optimization for a large number of optimization variables and goals. MONURBS has been validated in many applications and gives accurate predictions compared with measurements. The main features of MONURBS are compared to the characteristics of the most popular electromagnetic commercial solvers.
