This paper reviews the effect of finite conductivity of printed transmission lines on the measured dielectric constant. Printed conductors having thicknesses of the order of few micrometers and conductivity values of the order of 1e7 S/m increases the distributed inductance of printed lines even at several GHz frequencies. Furthermore, the conductivity of printed traces is adequately determined from wide-band measurement results.
