Inhalt:
This contribution presents the design of a dual linear polarized reflectarray element based on patches aperture-coupled to delay lines. The periodic element has been modified to allow dual polarization capabilities preserving its main advantages: a wide range of phase delay, linear phase response and low reflection losses. The linearity of the phase curve as a function of the length line has been obtained by adjusting the aperture length and its position with respect the patch which is not centered as usually. The resulting curves of phase are equivalent to the ideal phase-delay implemented as an openended transmission. The introduction of true-time delay (TTD) lines allows a wide range of phase delay improving the bandwidth of large reflectarrays.
