Inhalt:
Electronic bio sensor platforms are based on electrochemical methods. One very useful scheme in this context is the redox cycling. In this work the finite element method is used to simulate the physical processes at interdigitated transducer electrodes for this electrochemical method. The impact of the sensor geometry on the transducer signal is investigated for different electrode topologies. Simulation results allow for an optimization of the transducer electrode design to maximize the sensor signal.
