Inhalt:
An effective way to scale ISAR image is to estimate the target rotating velocity (RV) by modeling the received signals as quadratic phase signals and estimate the chirp rate of scattering centers. The precision of the RV estimate is analyzed, where the weighted least square error (WLSE) rule is used to fit the chirp rate of scattering centers with its corresponding range. Results disclose the factors influencing the variance of RV estimate, such as the number of scattering centers and their distribution, the range estimation error and the chirp rate estimation error. Especially, the influence of range estimation error and chirp rate estimation error on the variance of RV estimate is quantitatively analyzed. Simulation results verify the deduced formulas.
