Weighted Linear Prediction Considering the Voiced Excitation

In this paper, new procedures based on linear prediction are presented for the estimation of the vocal tract transfer function from speech signals. For that purpose, a weighted linear prediction is proposed which balances the influence of the excitation on the analysis. Furthermore, the spectral envelope of the voiced excitation is taken into account by removing resonances corresponding to the excitation.
