Inhalt:
The presentation focuses on online cost control in the context of emerging network technologies such as LTE, EPC, EPS. It starts with a short description of the increasing need of online cost control, caused by ultra high speed and volume, new and powerful terminals, complex applications and services and expensive content, leading in connection with open interfaces and new players, complex partner relationship and value flows to high financial risk for all involved parties. Different influencing factors will be described, such as network and service convergence or policy controlled delivery models for fair and optimized usage of resources. The NSN view at the development of the architecture will be presented including such components as Online and Offline Charging Servers, Call Control Servers, Service Delivery Frameworks and Service Capabilities Brokers and the IP-based interfaces between them. Together with it the evolutional direction of the existing NSN convergent charging solution to an All IP online cost control architecture and the corresponding challenges will be discussed.
