In this paper, automatic high precision geocoding method of SAR data, that is previously geocoded by position and view vector, is presented and simulated using SCN product of RADADRSAT-1. For extraction of GCP automatically, GSHHS data is applied to reference data. The center of image chip used to GCP is generated by edge detection of SAR data, and image chip is formed based on generated center point. GSHHS data is extracted by considering of the size of image chip and absolute location error of SAR data product, and extracted GSHHS data is transformed as the land mark image which has same resolution as the SAR data. Automatic GCP generation is performed by 2D correlation between image chip and land mark, and the GCPs which have large RMS error are terminated. The inverse mapping is performed by affine transform model. As the result, the absolute location error of 695.4 m is compensated as 24.7m when GSHHS data is used for reference data.
