This paper demonstrates and analyzes a same spectrum simultaneous transmit mode for spaceborne interferometric and bistatic SAR system. Without doubt, the new mode proposed here can overcome the increased susceptibility to range and/or azimuth ambiguities in the alternating bistatic mode. Compared with subbands simultaneous transmit mode, the new mode allows for the unambiguous acquisition of two correlative monostatic images. From the scattered signal recorded by both receivers in a single pass, 4 images can be achieved through signal processing, which is composed by 2 monostatic and 2 bistatic images with different phase-to-height sensitivities. So this mode can be used to measure the oscillator-induced phased errors like alternating bistatic mode and to improve the height measurement accuracy by combining 4 images with 2 different phase-to-height sensitivities. In the end, a computer simulation experiment is proposed to verify the same spectrum simultaneous transmit mode, and the result is discussed.
