Traditional LEO SAR system parameters design method is no longer applicable to GEO SAR, which even introduces more than 50% error. The speed of GEO SAR and accurate system parameters are calculated with the help of STK. This paper especially acquires the Doppler history and high-order Doppler parameters accurately, which are hardly obtainable through traditional analytic method. Furthermore, cubic phase or even quartic phase will entail considerable influence and it must be considered. This conclusion is verified by imaging simulation. Apart from this, this paper compares GEO SAR and LEO SAR on the coverage characteristic.
