Inhalt:
This study focuses on the design and implementation of an inductive link and an active rectifier as a part of wireless power link. The proposed power link is intended to supply power to a neural monitoring system which records epileptic seizures after the epilepsy surgery. Design considerations for these two blocks are explained in detail and the corresponding measurement and simulation results are presented. The implemented inductive link transfers power at an efficiency of 72% at 10 mm distance at 12 MHz. The post-layout simulations of the rectifier at the same frequency exhibit a power efficiency of 87% for 10 mW output DC power and 1.8 V output DC voltage. Keywords - neural implants; epilepsy monitoring; remote powering; inductive link; rectifier.
