Taking into Account Non-linearity of Model of Wholesale Market of Electric Power in Calculation of Market Power

Two efficient methods of calculation of market power that take into account the non-linearity of model of wholesale market of electric power are proposed: the one using the residual supply index to retrieve the local market power and the new linear optimization problem adapted for the Russian power market taking into account the network constraints and reactive power flows. The proposed methods of market power calculation are simple and efficient.
