Inhalt:
In wireless networks, interference from adjacent bases stations is usually a dominant factor for user performance degradation. A maximum likelihood detection can provide attractive performance by jointly detecting signals from serving and interfering base stations. However, the complexity is extremely high. This paper investigates a bit-level successive interference cancellation scheme. This scheme detects ‘reliable’ bits of the signals from the serving and interfering base stations and remove them from the received signals, thereby reducing the search space for the maximum likelihood detection. Simulation results show that this bit-level interference cancellation scheme can provide a better trade-off between complexity and performance in interference-limited scenarios.
