Inhalt:
This paper presents a novel high input and output voltage unity power factor rectifier, which operates based on Boost topology. A simple, reliability and high efficiency series-connected IGBTs circuit which can support high total blocking voltage is proposed. Compared with the existing series-connected IGBTs methods, this circuit can efficiently and reliably operate using single driving signal without big capacitor and magnetic component. It is convenient to integrate the control chip with auxiliary circuit and possess simple, effective voltage sharing and high reliability. The turn-on and turn-off operation principle is analyzed in detail. Theoretical analysis, a design example, and experimental results of a 500-W converter with 480-Vrms input voltage and 800-VDC output voltage are presented.
