With the continuous development of the telecommunication industry, the marketing competition is more and more fierce. In this case, it has become the management focus of operators to reduce the initial investment and operation cost of the telecommunication base station and improve the operation efficiency. With the promotion and application of multiple types of energy and new types of batteries, the hybrid energy power supply system for telecommunication sites has become very popular. The investment analysis and configuration optimization of hybrid energy power has become oncoming popular topics. This paper introduces an energy equipment configuration method of hybrid energy power supply, which lists composition and analysis of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Operating Expenditure (OPEX) for each configuration solution. In the stage of base station planning and design, operators could deduce several configuration solutions according to the importance degree, input energy type, power consumption of load, interval between operation and maintenance etc of base station. For each configuration solutions, the energy investment Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) will be given combined with equipment procurement cost, energy conversion efficiency, electricity cost, fuel cost, the cost of solar panel configuration, the battery configuration and replacement cost, the labour cost of operation and maintenance etc.. This analysis will help operators choose an appropriate network construction solution in consideration of investment and operational management strategies. When the base station is put into operation, the method can optimize the management parameters of base stations according to power consumption data from the hybrid energy monitor and control system, to reduce the operating cost continuously, maximize the value of investment and guarantee operators' investment benefits.
