Inhalt:
This paper presents a multilevel outphasing transmitter that is capable of amplifying noncontiguous LTE channels. Two 1.4 MHz LTE signals separated by 5 MHz are amplified concurrently using a multilevel outphasing transmitter that is implemented using 10 W GaN devices at 2.1 GHz. An ACPR performance better than -53 dBc is obtained for both 1.4 MHz LTE channels, while delivering 1 W average output power without requiring any form of predistortion.
