The contactor is a kind of control apparatus and always being used widely in industrial manufacture. The improving of modernization demands more on the intelligent contactor. How to determine the control scheme is very important in the intelligent control of the AC contactor, this paper designed an intelligent control module with making closedloop and keeping closed-loop for the AC contactor using the 8-bit microcontroller as a core. The module can adjust the coil current quickly and precisely. CCS-RTOS was introduced into the software design. The real-time operating system (RTOS) simplified the design process and enhanced reliability and scalability of the program. Self-correction control which based on current scanning was used to optimize the making process of the AC contactor. This control scheme can find a best making current curve automatically and overcome the dispersiveness and the dynamic characteristics change of the electromagnetic mechanism when the contactor runs for a long time. The experiment verifies that CCS-RTOS can run steadily and the self-correction control is effective. Contact bounces and electrical wear can be reduced greatly. It improved the reliability and the electrical life of the AC contactors.
