In the distribution grid, the ongoing pervasion with information and communication technology is accompanied by a still increasing penetration with distributed energy resources. Combined with shiftable loads and electrical storage, these energy units set up a new flexibility potential. Dynamic Virtual Power Plants (DVPP) are an algorithmic concept to tap this potential based on selforganization principles for multiagent systems. In this contribution, we analyze technological realization options for DVPP regarding their technological needs using a new gap-to-the-field analysis approach following the study "Future Energy Grid" and a mapping to the Smart Grid Architectural Model. We show, that DVPP can be realized conforming to the current ENTSO-E role model and expected technological future developments.
